Day 1
Windhoek – Otjiwarongo
Depart from Windhoek towards the north through rolling landscapes and typical Namibian farms. Otjiwarongo is a peaceful and green town, ideal for a first immersion in Namibia. On the way, possibility to visit a cheetah conservation center.
Day 2-3
Parc national d’Etosha
Two days exploring one of Africa's most beautiful parks. Etosha is a wildlife sanctuary where you can see elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes and antelopes gathering around the waterholes. The vast salt pan, which sparkles in the sun, gives the park a unique atmosphere.
Day 4
Damaraland – Twyfelfontein
Drive to Damaraland , a region with arid and mountainous landscapes. Stop at Twyfelfontein , a UNESCO site with more than 2,500 rock engravings, testimony to the first inhabitants of the region. Possibility of seeing desert elephants, rare but emblematic of this region.
Day 5-6
Swakopmund – The Atlantic Coast
Arrival in Swakopmund, a charming coastal town with a Germanic style. Here, the desert meets the ocean in a striking contrast. Possibility of taking a cruise to observe sea lions and dolphins, or a 4x4 excursion in the dunes of Sandwich Harbour. Swakopmund is also the ideal place to try sandboarding or a plane flight over the desert.
Day 7-8
Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert
Drive inland to reach Sossusvlei , famous for its red dunes among the highest in the world. Climb Big Daddy for a breathtaking panoramic view, then discover the mythical site of Deadvlei , with its fossilized trees frozen in a sea of white sand. Explore the Sesriem Canyon , dug by the Tsauchab River millions of years ago.
Day 9
Aus – The Desert Horses
Head south to Aus, a region known for its arid landscapes and wild horses , roaming free in the Namib Desert. Legend has it that they are the descendants of horses abandoned during the First World War. A fascinating sight at sunset.
Day 10
Fish River Canyon
Discover the Fish River Canyon , the second largest canyon in the world after the American Grand Canyon. This spectacular site offers dizzying panoramas and a striking glimpse of the erosion that has shaped the region for millions of years. A hike along the cliffs allows you to admire the immensity of the landscape.
Day 11
Mariental and the Kalahari Desert
Route to Mariental, at the gateway to the Kalahari Desert . This desert with red dunes is dotted with vegetation, home to unique wildlife: oryx, springboks, meerkats and even leopards. Possibility of an excursion at the end of the day to admire the sunset over these enchanting landscapes.
Day 12
Return to Windhoek
Last leg of the trip with a return to Windhoek , the Namibian capital. Stroll through the city center to discover its cultural heritage, craft markets and historical monuments, such as the Christuskirche church and the old Alte Feste fortress .
Day 13
End of the Tour and Departure
Transfer to the airport and end of this exceptional adventure through Namibia.
